Naca, featherweight motorcycle helmets
An innovative structure in carbon fibers and aramid honeycomb
A 750 g Riviera jet and a 950 g Le Castellet full-face, from 800 and 1100 euros
A new actor arrives in the field of motorcycle helmets and he is French: Naca.
This new brand, we owe it to UFO Groupe, a company based in Signes near the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet and specialized in the design of technical products based on carbon, kevlar, epoxy... The company created in 1987 has notably developed a lighter honeycomb carbon which will equip the future Aston Martin AMB 001.

The group has used this technology to design very light motorcycle helmets through its NACA brand, whose name refers directly to the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics abbr>.
At the moment, the company offers two types of helmets with a "Riviera" jet and a "Le Castellet" full face which both inherit a similar design consisting of an aramid honeycomb structure and a layer of carbon fibers to help optimize stiffness while keeping the weight as low as possible. Concretely, this translates into a jet of 750 g and an integral of only 950 g!
Both models benefit from a wide field of vision, a leather-covered interior and a shape studied in the wind tunnel. Indeed, the ventilation on the front has been studied to reduce aerodynamic drag with three rear extractors. The integral also benefits from additional entries on the chin guard.
With a classic style that adapts to the majority of road bikes, Naca helmets are also very customizable since it is possible to choose from 30 colors for the two areas of the helmet, but also the matte or glossy finish , the color of the logo, the visor screw or the interior leather.
You can even go further by having your own decor made or putting your own logos for an extra charge.
On the other hand, this technology has a cost since it will take 800 euros for the jet and 1,100 euros for the integral. The personalization of the decorations requires an additional 120 euros.
