iPhone 13: Apple Chinese subcontractors are fighting to recruit workers |igeneration

11 commentairesMathieu Fouquet | Producing a hundred million phones in a few months, it requires a number of small hands.
The minimum wage has also climbed, from 800 yuan (€ 104) monthly to 1,900 yuan (€ 248) in a decade.
Faced with this demographic and economic transformation of China, the apple subcontractors therefore have no choice but to extend an increasingly juicy carrot: Foxconn offers a premium of 9,500 yuan (€ 1,243)For new employees who remain at least 90 days and 700 yuan (€ 91) to the person who recommended them.For its part, Lens Technology seeks to hire 5,000 workers and 2,000 employees responsible for quality control and also offers a recruitment bonus set at 10,000 yuan (compared to 5,000 yuans last May). Luxshare est un peu moins généreux mais suit la même tendance, emporté par le tsunami irrésistible des commandes d’iphone.

Do we know how much a basic worker wins at Foxconn working for Apple production (and not other) in basic wages and basic salary + bonuses?

Apple also recruits in Vietnam.

@Arnaudietnam
Salaries have increased a lot in Vietnam, not sure that electronics production is advantageous compared to China

Cool, for once an article which instead of saying "China is hell, they are very very nasty, they oppress their peoples" says a simple truth, the Chinese leave very farms and enrich themselves in a wayUltra accelerated with an average income multiplied by 2.5 years barely ten years ... an increase in salary that many would like to have and that can from countries give their population.

"The Chinese leave very farms and enrich themselves in an ultra accelerated manner with an average income multiplied by 2.5 years barely ten years »
A salary increase does not mean anything in itself.What matters is the increase in standard of living.If wages have multiplied by 2.5 and the cost of living by 1.5 is good.If the cost of living has multiplied by 3, it's worse ...

@Derw
Don't worry, wages are increasing much faster than the cost of living in China.Look by you even the evolution of GDP per capita by PpP on the World Bank site (PpP = purchasing power parity, therefore by removing inflation and differentials of living between different countries therefore showing youWhat your money allows you to buy) from China vs India and sub -Saharan Africa: https: // data.WorldBank.Org/Indicator/NY.GDP.Pcap.Pp.KD? Rentals = CN-ZG-Pest yes, barely 30 years ago an Indian was richer than an Chinese, and an African were twice richer than a Chinese.Now there is no photo, the Chinese are far ahead, 4.5 times richer than an African and 2.5 times richer than an Indian ... And this in just 30 years! I have been living in China for over 15 years, I speak Chinese, and I can tell you that the difference is very very very visible.

Interesting this point of view I have always criticized the speeches "the Chinese are exploited in factories", this is no longer the case in the majority of cases.After there may still be certain sectors where it is complicated like textiles but to see.

@Hideyasules Chinese do not have to be, if an industrial sector pays more (and if they have the capacity to do the job) they go there.It is said that Chinese workers vote with their feet, they work thoroughly during the year (and generally resign if the boss does not give them overtime ... which are paid two) and once a year go back to their villages/Small town for the Chinese New Year.Then they return to the factory only if large salary increase.So factories have an interest in increasing wages otherwise no worker to work.Here in China almost no unemployment, no mass immigration to maintain low wages, if you want to work you still have jobs available (not necessarily funny jobs, but job anyway).The goal of China is not the remainder vitam Eternam to work thoroughly to make cheap quality products.Their goal is to become a developed country where their inhabitants will have a good standard of living.Do not forget that Japan, Korea, Taiwan before were all low -end products with very low wages, now they are at the top of techno with high wages ... China follows the same path, but accelerated and with1.4 billion inhabitants.After China is so large that there are more or less developed regions, and different wage and techno levels.For example the assembly factories were on the ribs, then many factories have migrated to the interior of the country, and now those with low added value are leaving China, it allows you to concentrate your hand gets usedon production has higher added value.Chinese gain in productivity and therefore can increase wages.China goes upmarket very quickly and invested en masse in development research ... Even if the average standard of living is even much lower than in France, they spend a percentage of GDP more in search than France, and in valueAbsolute much more.In a few years they will spend more research than the Americans and they already file more patent than them.There are now incredible infrastructure (past 0km from TGV, at 38.000 km in barely more than 10 years, they build more than the total TGV network of France every year….And their TGV is 98% of the time, and in 14 years they will have 70.000 km of TGV), and have an ultra -safe country where delinquency/racaille/harassment of street does not exist, where the girls are free to carry alone where she wants, at the time she wants without any risk..no lost district of the Republic here.In short, China is far from being horror for 98% of Chinese as newspapers try to make us believe.A Chinese speaking French, living in China for over 15 years.
