A last-minute overtaking triggered a particularly messy accident in Hong Kong and should serve as a lesson to those involved.

You should never drive out without looking in your mirrors. No offense to those who have a habit of inserting themselves into another lane on the highway before crushing the cars that catch up with them. However, this video sequence should calm the ardor of some crazy drivers.

Truck dash camera footage shows the driver of a black minivan stopped in the middle of a highway with a taxi behind him and a taxi to the left. The taxi just behind the minivan decides to pull out at the last moment and hastily change lanes. However, the minibus driver did not want to let them pass and tried to cut them off. All this without seeing that a truck loaded with a strange liquid was coming behind them.

Mud, sewage or cement?

The trucker who had a dashcam in his cabin approaches the stopped cars fairly quickly and is forced to brake when the taxi changes lanes in front of him. The force of the braking sends liters of thick mud that were in the bed of the truck towards the van and the taxi. Mud escapes from the truck so fast that it shatters the van's rear window.

This video was shared on Reddit. In the first comments, Internet users rather thought that it was about sewage. However, it has since been confirmed that it was indeed mud from a construction site. While the two cabs don't appear to be too damaged, the same cannot be said for the minivan as mud has spilled into the cabin and removing it will not be an easy task. Not to mention the road surface which will certainly remain slippery for quite some time.
