PhonAndroid WhatsApp: the web version will soon allow audio and video calls to be made on PC
WhatsApp on the Web will soon allow you to make audio and video calls directly from your PC. Both options have just appeared in the latest beta version of the instant messaging application. Here's how it works in detail.
Beta version 2.2043.7 of the desktop application includes two new icons: a camera icon and a phone icon. By clicking on these icons, users will be able to make a video or audio call from their computer and get in touch with another WhatsApp user, whether on smartphone or PC.

WhatsApp attacks zoom, Skype and meet
When a call is received on the Web version of WhatsApp, a small pop-up window will appear on the screen. This window allows you to respond, reject the call, turn off the microphone or disable / activate the camera. Similarly, a window showing the current status of the call will appear when you make an audio or video call. Again, this interface includes commands to control the call.
WabetaInfo specifies that group calls will be available as soon as audio and video call options arrive. Via your PC's web browser, you will be able to contact multiple users at the same time, as is the case on mobile.
The development of options is already well under way, explains WabetaInfo. The site expects call features to be rapidly deployed in the final version of the WhatsApp web version. "this feature is not yet enabled, but WhatsApp is planning to offer it in the near future," says WabetaInfo.
With these new features, the web version of WhatsApp becomes a serious alternative to videoconferencing services such as Skype, zoom or meet. Are you going to give up one of these services for the Desktop version of WhatsApp? Your opinion is expected in the comments below.
