A wobbly remaster
Although it was not long awaited by fans of the Rockstar Games license, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has disappointed more than one.Riddled with all kinds of bugs as well as texture and performance problems, the experience proposed by this remaster was much less compared to the anticipation linked to its release.Of the 3 games offered, none of them has escaped their share of bugs, so that Rockstar Games spoke publicly and apologized to the license fans.
The studio proposed a solution to remedy all these problems: a series of updates aimed at correcting many technical errors, display problems, and other bugs present in this remaster.A first update, Patch 1.02, was offered last week. This has made more than 60 corrections to the Remaster Games, including improvements to visual effects, especially those related to rain, as well as bugs that prevented the smooth running of the game, such as planting, invisible enemies orHoles in the map.
Main changes in patch 1.03 from GTA Trilogy
This time, more than 110 corrections were made to the 3 Remaster Games. The visual rain effects were reworked again to prevent their appearance inside the premises, many corrupt textures have been replaced, and many syntax errors have been corrected.Backup and crash concerns have been remedied, as well as display problems in terms of characters' models.A known bug that led the player to get to know CJ when he looked back on a quad was also corrected.
Aside from these fixes, some new features have been brought to the Remaster games, such as a new camera mode, the kinematic camera. It is accessible for all games and on all platforms, and you can find it with the other camera modes available in play.A new visual effect has also been added to bring realism to the decor of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This is a distance fog effect when you stand at high altitude, as you can see here:
The various games benefited from other small additions: in San Andreas, new animations were added to the character of CJ, changing his approach according to his corpulence.Different vehicles of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City have received new advertising banners, and Grand Theft Auto III taxis have been getting a makeover with better image resolution at the doors.Find the complete list of the fixes made by the Patch 1.03 from GTA Trilogy below:
