Freebox Pop: everything is new regarding recording and storage, discover the demonstration with a free developer

On the occasion of the launch of the Freebox Pop, Univers Freebox interviewed one of the developers of the OQEE application, the new TV interface.He explains in this video how the recording and storage works which is now in the cloud

Unlike previous generations of Freebox, the programs you record from the Freebox Pop are not stored on a hard drive, but in the cloud.And we are no longer talking about storage go but in recording hours, it doesn't matter whether in standard definition, high definition or 4K.100h are included in the Freebox Pop offer, but if you want to go beyond, you will be charged 0.02 €/h/month.Of course, you can erase recorded programs so that you never exceed these 100 hours.A counter that indicates the number of hours is also available in the "Recording" section (you can see it at the top right in the video)

This system allows you to always have a perfect recording, without freezes or other problems, since the capture is done directly on the free servers.For reading, the image quality adapts automatically and in real time depending on your flow, in order to offer the best rendering possible.Note that these recordings are not readable from another version of Freebox in Multi TV, and vice versa.
