Flight Simulator: How to activate photo/drone mode on Xbox?
That's it, Flight Simulator is finally available on Xbox Series X and S and we know you're all going to jump on it to contemplate the beauty of its landscapes. And what better than a photo mode to immortalize these magical moments and share them on social networks or with loved ones to show how much video games have evolved in recent years? Here is a short guide to tell you which are the best settings to allow you to walk around the game at your own pace and take all the screenshots you want.
Photomode on Flight Simulator Xbox
First of all, you should know that there is no “Photo Mode” strictly speaking in Flight Simulator. On the other hand, by activating the right options and settings in the game menus, it is possible to obtain an environment that will be perfect for taking all the screenshots you want.
Enable Active Pause
In the Cursor mode, which you can activate by pressing your left stick, you will find the option “Pause active” which is at the very beginning of the list. This option allows you to freeze your plane in the sky. Thus, as soon as you pass over a place that interests you, you can stop the plane in mid-flight and take the time to admire the surroundings.
Enable drone mode
Once you have active Pause mode, you have plenty of time to quietly activate the “Showcase” mode which you will find in the “Camera” option of the slider mode. It is thanks to this famous showcase mode that you will be able to pilot a drone that you place absolutely where you want. Around the plane, certainly, but also much further, by modifying the height of the camera thanks to the LT and RT triggers. You can walk around as you please without having to worry about your plane.
Walk around at your own pace and take as many captures as you want
Now all you have to do is use the “Share” button located in the center of the controller to take all the screenshots you want. To share them on social networks, you can then use the features that are built into the Xbox operating system.
