Dead in series under the eye of the cameras at the Château de Keriolet in Concarneau reserved for subscribers
Shards of voice, a session of epic and tragic spiritualism, murders, a heart attack and a fall on the stairs, all in a beautiful atmosphere, both studious and light of the movie plateau ... The castle of Keriolet, inConcarneau, was once again the frame for filming a film on Saturday.
From dawn and to the heart of the night from Saturday to Sunday, the team of mystical films almost went around the dial, to be able to put in the box in time the interior shots of the brand new film ofJérôme Class.
"A kind of cluedo"
Mystical films is this Quimper association which, since 1988, has specialized in the realization and promotion of shorts and medium-hunges of very specific genres: fantastic, terror, thriller, science-Fiction, etc..Thirty-three years of existence in a well-supplied catalog, having no less than 94 films and prices in abundance won in many festivals devoted to short films and videos.
For this 95th production, director Jérôme Class gives in black comedy, entitled the heritage of Don Mancini."It's a kind of cluedo," he said."Hence the choice of decor".Because if the exterior scenes are filmed at the Château des Garennes, in Clohars-Fouesnant, nothing seemed to lend themselves better to the interior scenes than certain pieces of the Château de Keriolet.
"The exterior is far too sumptuous in relation to the story here," says the amateur director. But the interior was perfect. We turn a little in the salons, but the essential is turned in the kitchen of the castle. We really loved this piece ".
A coveted heritage
Surprisingly, while he aligns dozens of films on the clock, Jérôme Class had never invested Keriolet, whose setting can be perfectly lending to the dark, gothic, scary atmospheres."There he fits perfectly with the script," he said.
Don Mancini's heritage is the meeting of four women, ex-wives of a rich man who will tear himself away, after his death, around his succession. An opening of the will which will quickly transform into a spiritualism session giving the floor to the deceased, before degenerating into bloody tragedy, full of twists and turns, until the last second.
Eight actors, including two professionals (Sophie Jézéquel and Solen de la Turmelière) appear on the poster for this 40 -minute film.An entirely classy casting, on Saturday, surrounded by a whole technical team, all of which put animation in the castle."We alternate easy and complicated films," says the director."This is a complicated".
Projection in Quimper in early 2022
After this filming weekend, a big work of assembly and postproduction dressing now awaits the team.Don Mancini's heritage will be the subject of a public projection at the Max-Jacob theater in Quimper in early 2022 before being presented at various festivals.
en complément Un siècle de tournages au châteauKeriolet's team has undertaken to relaunch the castle's film career, promoting specialized sites, such as rentals.filmfrance.net.A career started a hundred years ago, in 1920, with the treasure of Keriolet, a silent film by Félix Leonnec in eight games, with a boxing champion of the time, Georges Carpentier.
Premier film à avoir été tourné au château, il y a un siècle : « Le Trésor de Keriolet ». Une véritable série, muette, en huit épisodes.DRIn Jean Tarride's "Yellow Dog", released in 1932, certain decorative elements suggest the team of the castle that interior scenes would have been shot in Keriolet. But without certainty. And four years later, it was Henry Wulschleger who turned her everything going very well, Madame la Marquise.
