The last issue
SAUNIER DUVAL Eau Chaud Chauffage Industrie (SDECCI) will hold this year the annual rate of 3 million euros in investments in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique).Half of the envelope concerns a new robotic line intended for the removal of insulators, a still manual operation. This process then intended to be broadcast on the other sites of the German group Vaillant, of which SDECCI is the only factory in France.
French number one in condensing boilers
SDECCI does better than resisting the crisis. The factory collects the fruits of its diversification, engaged four years ago, in renewable energies and energy performance. In 2012, the Nantes factory saw its production of condensing boilers, of which it is the French number, increase by 12 % (120,000 units produced), that of thermal solar panels by 19 % and that of aerothermal heat pumps16 %.Condensing products should experience the same boom this year. However, the overall activity of the site is stable given its mix-product.Traditional boilers still represent 60 % of the activity of the site whose production, all products combined, amounts to 300,000 units.
The SDECCI factory in Nantes, whose value produced amounts to 200 million euros, works for the eight brands of the Vaillant group, which published for 2012 a turnover of 2.3 billion euros up2 %.The group has 12,000 employees on ten industrial sites.
