ASUS comes out of its hood with the latest Wi-Fi 6 router in the Rog rapture range, which promises to be flexible to meet different needs.
For its new Rog Rapture GT-AX6000 router, ASUS returns to a more "discreet" design without cutting off the onboard hardware.
Fewer antennas for a lighter look
The GT-AX6000 rapture is a two-band 4x4 model capable of achieving combined speeds of 6000 Mbps (1148 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band, 4804 Mbps in the 5 GHz band). It is equipped with a 64-bit 4-bit 2 GHz Broadcom CPU, and next-generation Broadcom Wi-Fi 6 chipsets. The manufacturer integrates its in-house RangeBoostPlus technology to increase the range of the wireless connection, and it is still AiMesh compatible if you have multiple routers.

On the connector side, the rapture GT-AX6000 features two 2.5 Gbps ports, one of which can be configured in WAN or LAN. In WAN mode, aggregation of a 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps port offers bandwidth up to 3.5 Gbps, while in LAN, the bandwidth will be 2 Gbps.
In terms of look, ASUS has revised down the number of removable exterior antennas, since this model has only four (compared to up to eight on other versions of the same range). On the top of the case is the company's claw with the Rog logo-with configurable RGB lighting, of course.
A router for all player profiles
The Rog rapture GT-AX6000 does not perform in platform warfare. He claims to be addressing all types of players and promises to reduce the lag, decrease the ping, and increase speed.? This includes new generation machines such as the PS5 and Xbox Series, but also Nintendo's little switch.
Finally, if you Don't hold up and your smartphone is your best ally for your game sessions, the ASUS router app will give it priority to "benefit from lower Ping time and reduced latency."
