Andry Rajoelina traveled to Paris on Friday evening to attend the Meeting of Francophone Entrepreneurs (REF 2021) organized by the Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF), on August 24 to 27.
The Malagasy delegation arrived in Paris on Saturday, the day the opposition platform RMDM France held a demonstration calling for the resignation of the president. Four members of the government accompany Andry Rajoelina, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Patrick Rajoelina, the Minister of Energy and Hydrocarbons Andry Ramaroson, the Minister of Tourism, Joël Randriamandrato and the Minister of Crafts Sophie Ratsiraka. Andry Rajoelina is due to speak at the MEDEF podium tomorrow afternoon.
Malagasy employers will also be represented at this meeting. The presidents of the GEM Thierry Rajaona, of the GEFP, Hery-Lanto Rakotoarisoa, of the SEBPT, Hary Andriatefihasina, of the SIM Hassim Amiraly, as well as other business leaders will make the trip.

The meeting of French-speaking entrepreneurs will bring together entrepreneurs, employer representatives and institutional figures from French-speaking countries in the economic and financial, digital and environmental sectors. This will be an opportunity for participants to expand their business network within the Francophonie. Numerous spaces for professional meetings will thus be set up to encourage the creation of new partnerships.
As part of this trip to France, Andry Rajoelina is planning a meeting with the Malagasy diaspora in France on Saturday August 28 in the Paris region.
