PUDC: 2,000 solar floor lamps installed to date for the benefit of 145,000 Togolese - Togo First
(Togo First) - implemented since 2016, the Community Development Emergency Program (PUDC -Togo) has made it possible to install 2,000 solar lampposts in the 5 economic regions of Togo, according to updated statistics available.
These 2,000 solar public lighting devices are supplies with electrical energy, 145,000 Togolese to date in communities little or badly served by the basic and economic infrastructure and services.Thanks to these lampposts, schools, markets, health centers and other public places have access to energy.
Thus, Togo which aims a universal energy coverage by 2030, crosses a new level.It also takes an important step in the implementation of its energy policy which aims to have 50% share of renewable in its energy mix at the aforementioned due date.
