Or an investment of 10 million euros for this single Vendée unit.
Gray hydrogen against green hydrogen
Cars that roll hydrogen starts to enter mentalities, and habits. But as Matthieu Guesné, founding president of lhyfe reminds us, "it is a question of so -called gray hydrogen, or fossil hydrogen".
In other words, to create hydrogen by electrolysis, thanks to solar, hydraulic or wind energy. Objective: to considerably reduce the carbon footprint.

Energy drawn from the wind farm, active for more than 15 years a few hundred meters from the factory. The lhyfe production unit uses around a third of the energy produced by the wind farm to supply machines that will transform sea water into a compressed hydrogen at 350 bars, and "pure 99.9999%.»»
The Vendée site produces 300 kg per day today. Its production will be pushed in the coming months to 1 ton per day.

How much does it cost, hydrogen?
For the time being, the first to equip themselves are the communities and certain companies, anxious to reduce their carbon footprint. But tomorrow, individuals will also be able to ride hydrogen.
Some hydrogen vehicles are already on sale, but the difficulty is to find on the one hand a dealer which offers such a car, on the other hand to find a pump.
